Wrap up warm its cold out there!

Sports week was a blast. Quick thinking, team building, combined with physical training were the order of the day. Outdoor adventures, archery, multi skills workshops and yoga to name a few were all experienced by the children. Thank you to our wonderful sports co-ordinator Teacher Lamees, marvellous Mick Mcdonell, amazing Amanda Ling, magical Marc Andrews and quick fire Colin Oakley!

The stage in the mosque

Please remember that Hajj week is coming up. The curriculum will be topic based, encourage your kids to have a go at the art competition (see below) and they may win the mystery prize (oooooh!)

The new carpet

Thank you to all the parents and children who made shoebox gifts to send to children in Africa. We had a lot of wonderfully decorated boxes to deliver. May Allah repay your kindness tenfold.

We have our Hajj break which will begin on the 23rd of November. For those of you who are off to Hajj, remember us in your duas, and may Allah grant you a safe journey and an accepted Hajj.

Finally thank you to all of our parents (and to those of our neighbours, Salusbury Primary) who donated their children’s shoes for the Africa shoe aid appeal.

The End of The Year

Here we are! Children leaving The school year is over, what an amazing few weeks it has been let alone a year. First of all thank you for all your support in our family funday held in Queens Park and organised by our wonderful Parent Staff Association team. A big big jazakallah khair to Br Ibrahim, our tireless Sr Zubia and the ever smiling Sr Annalise. The event was a success with people from all over coming round to have fun, socialise and pick up a bargain or two.

Ending the school year also means a lot of goodbyes, and so we say farewell to our lovely Year 6. Tree trunk and flowers You are amazing children and we will miss you. A well deserved thank you to each and every one of them for the brilliant play, which was not only well acted but very, very witty. Amina Ahmed and Ali Ahdash; hats off to your comic timing. In between our restrained tears and heartfelt hugs we pray that Allah will continually guide you and we hope that the joy that you brought to the people around you at Islamia will only spread to your new environments.

And since we are saying jazakallah khair to a few people, we’d like to say a thank you Orange flowers to all our parents for all your support and prayers over the years. The teachers will be taking a (well deserved!) rest, over the summer holidays, recharging body, mind and soul. Insha'Allah, we hope to see you all after Ramadan, please keep an eye on the website from time to time - we will be updating it.
