The children demonstrated what they learnt by producing some creative and informative displays.

Celebrating Culture and Diversity

‘Oh mankind! We have created you from a male and a female and have made you into nations and tribes so you may know one another.’
Al Hujarat 49:13

The children and teachers have been extremely busy this half term looking at Culture and Diversity display community cohesion. If you walk around the school you will see displays from all year groups celebrating the diversity of both the children and their parents at Islamia.

The children have taken part in many activities to produce these wonderful displays, including art and written work, looking at the differences and similarities between the children throughout the school. Whilst we are all different what keeps us together as brothers and sisters is our beautiful Deen inshallah.

Our Local Area

As part of their geography lesson, year 3b have been looking at their local area. Our local area We went out and had a look at the street furniture and what facilities are available to us. We found out about the fire station, post office, hospitals and the transport links that exist. When we returned to school we conducted a brain storming session and discussed what we saw and additionally how our local area can be improved.

A big thank you has to go to Teachers Kaniz and Samia for the giving them such an invaluable lesson and to Teacher Karima who particularly helped with the stunning display.
