Islamia celebrates the coming of the Prophet of Mercy to the world:

“And We have not sent you, except as a mercy for all creatures. ”
Al-Anbiya 21:107
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Indeed, I am only a gift of mercy.”
Our Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was sent to a people who were lost
and confused and were taken over by their desires and egos. The same could be said about the
people of our time where we can see that some of the evils from that time are coming back
again. Such as the abuse of children, the oppression of men, the worship of material goods etc.
No wonder there are people resembling Abu Jahl and Abu Lahab openly abusing our Prophet
(may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). As a result we need to reverse these trends
by highlighting who the great man was. Hence, the celebration is an awakening for people to
appreciate what Muhammad (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) has come to deliver
to the worlds. The celebration is a means of highlighting all the beautiful attributes of
this noble prophet who was sent for all of mankind.
We need to study the Seerah (biography / life story) or Muhammad (may Allah's peace and
blessings be upon him) and to learn from it how to live our lives as we were instructed by
Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala):

“Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)
you have a good example to follow...”
Al-Ahzab 33:21
